Awana Program

2021-2022 School Year

AWANA will abide by the current Faith Church COVID-19 Building Policies and Procedures which outline Faith’s COVID cleaning procedures, COVID sickness and post-sickness re-entry policy, social distancing requirements, mask requirements and a health screening protocol. These guidelines can be viewed on the Faith Church website: This information is fluid and may change throughout the year. Always refer to the Faith Church website for up-to-date information. AWANA will also alert you to changes in these policies as the year progresses. Currently, kids are not required to wear masks or socially distance but maintain smaller groupings throughout programing for contract tracing purposes (if needed).

In addition to these policies, here are a few more changes specific to conducting AWANA in the current environment:

  • AWANA is in-person with no virtual option this year.
  • AWANA will return to our full time slot- 6:30-8:00pm.
  • All pick up at the end of the night will happen from classroom doors (no car line pickup).
  • All kids will continue to use a special AWANA bag to keep and transport individual materials (handbooks/bibles/writing utensils, etc).
  • GAMES and SNACKS (individually packaged) are back!

Family Resources for 2021

Tools for At-Home Discipleship

FaithKids is releasing new resources for at-home discipleship for the upcoming year. To purchase, stop by the Info Desk before or after services, or email Kendra Carter at The four resources available for purchase are:

“More Than A Story: Old Testament” Bible Resource – If you liked the Jesus Storybook Bible, you’ll definitely want to check this book out. More Than a Story: Old Testament is a new kind of Bible resource for children—taking them on a chronological journey through the Bible with a God-centered, gospel-focused, discipleship-oriented, theologically grounded perspective. Written in an interactive style, it enables parents and children to engage in conversations addressing the mind, heart, and will, encouraging children to “set their hope in God” (Psalm 78:7). Above all, More Than a Story was written to inspire the worship of God for the glory of God!  It’s a great devotional Bible for preschooler through elementary kids.

Foundations Verses  – Foundation Verses (ESV) are strategically chosen Bible verses for children 2-5 years old. The pack includes 76 short passages with image prompts to help non-readers remember the passage. The vision of this set is to lay a firm foundation of basic biblical truth that will pave the way for faith response and establish the habit of hiding God’s Word in the heart.

Foundations Verses Coloring Book – This is a companion resource to the Foundations Verses. The coloring book gives children of a visual representation of each of the 76 verses found in the Foundations Verse memory set.

Fighter Verses – This scripture memory tool is for elementary-adults. This Fighter Verses™ compilation of 260 passages will help believers fight the fight of faith. They provide the encouragement we need daily, focusing our thoughts in three main directions: fixing our hearts on the character and worth of our great God; battling the desires of our flesh; and rejoicing in the work of Christ in the Gospel. If you did the math, you figured out that is breaks down to 52 passages per year for 5 years. Don’t worry! You can go at your own pace! *Note: there is also an app version too.

Fighter Verses Coloring Book – This is a companion resource to the Fighter Verses. The coloring book gives children of all ages a visual representation of each of the 52 verses along with a key truth statement to focus on. It encourages them memorize the verse along with the whole family. It’s a great too to assist your younger kiddos as they memorize the same scripture verse as older siblings.
