COVID-19 hasn’t changed our mission. We are uniquely placed in our community to care and meet the needs of those around us. If you’re looking for a way to help, consider one of the options below. If you have questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Called to Serve
Opportunities to serve our Community
Help make others feel welcome during our worship services. Greet at the doors to the Worship Center, help others navigate seating, and help serve communion. This opportunity to serve is open to men and women at Faith (we know, you’re used to seeing men ushering at Faith, but anyone is able to do it!).
Volunteers needed for the Guest Services team! Do you love coffee? Can you come help the crew brewing in the Cafe on Sunday mornings? Can you provide a warm welcome? We’re also in need of greeters at the doors. The schedule is very flexible; serve when you’re available. Training provided. Email Catherine Curry or stop by the Info Desk on a Sunday.
Many people are returning to in-person worship, but we’ve found that the livestream is a blessing to those who are choosing to stay home, are home bound, or live outside of the Indy area so the livestream is here to stay! That means, we need to bolster up the livestream tech team. This requires additional training with our team and leaders. If you are willing to serve the Church by helping the livestream reach other homes, other cities, and other countries, contact Brittany.
This Summer we have opportunities to serve in the nursery second service, sermon childcare in second service, and Sunday school between services. You can help lead a group or just be an assistant. Our kids are excited to learn about Jesus – are you willing to be the one to share the Good News with them on Sunday mornings?
Our biggest need in Faith Kids is teachers and assistants on Sunday mornings in the Fall. Please prayerfully consider being a part of this ministry for the Fall quarter. Email Kendra if you’d like to learn more.
If you’re attending Sunday in-person services, we could use your help on the Media Team! You may feel that this is out of your element, but there are many ways to be a part of the team and you’ll receive the training you’d need; all you really need is a heart to serve! Email email@example.com if you’re interested.
Faith Neighborhood Ambassadors Education Advocacy is hosting a week-long summer camp July 12-16. The week will be filled with adventure trips to the zoo, park, library, and walking trips around the neighborhood. Our goal is to provide social interactions and experiences that students missed out on during virtual school this year.

Volunteer to teach English
Due to social distancing restrictions, classroom structure will be different this year than it has been in the past. Each classroom will have only 2-16 adult students. They will also have between one and three instructors. Virtual teaching opportunities also exist.
Training is provided for all volunteer instructors, and support is offered throughout the year. If you’re new to the program, you’ll receive several weeks of training to prepare.
Volunteer with FIEC Kids
Have a heart for working with kiddos? All FIEC students are invited to bring their children (ages 6 weeks-13 years) to FIEC Kids. Children are grouped in classrooms by age. Teacher and helper volunteer positions are available across all age ranges. Kids in preschool through 4th grade are provided with one hour of curriculum per evening with the remainder of the time free play. Older children play games and receive help with their homework. Younger children only engage in guided free play for the two hours. Curriculum, crafts, and snacks are supplied each week.
Short-Term Volunteer Roles
Please come along side us! There are many short-term volunteer opportunities available, like being a substitute instructor, setting up classrooms, help with special events, and more.
