Opportunities to serve our Community
Service Opportunities
If you’re attending Sunday in-person services, we could use your help on the Technology Support Team! You may feel that this is out of your element, but there are many ways to be a part of the team and you would receive the training you’d need; all you really need is a heart to serve!
Check out the current needs:
Help make others feel welcome during our worship services. Greet at the doors to the Worship Center, help others navigate seating, and help serve communion. This opportunity to serve is open to men and women at Faith (we know, you’re used to seeing men ushering at Faith, but anyone is able to do it!).
Volunteers needed for the Guest Services team! Do you love coffee? Can you come help the crew brewing in the Cafe on Sunday mornings? Can you provide a warm welcome? We’re also in need of greeters at the doors. The schedule is very flexible; serve when you’re available. We have a lot of variety when it comes to types of roles, so you can choose a background role or something forward-facing – whatever you’re comfortable with! Email Catherine Curry or stop by the Info Desk on a Sunday.
We’re always looking for more volunteers to serve in our Kids ministry! If you’re passionate about working with kids, and teaching them to know and love the Lord, consider joining the team! Hold babies, sing songs with toddlers, or open up the bible with our older elementary students – all roles make an impact. You can be scheduled on a regular basis or be on a substitute list to help when others are out sick or out of town.
Volunteer to teach English
FIEC offers 5 class levels. Each class has a lead teacher and several coaches for 15-20 adult students. We also offer a 6-week alphabet curriculum for those new to the Latin alphabet. Training is provided for all volunteer instructors, and support is offered throughout the year.
Training is provided for all volunteer instructors, and support is offered throughout the year. If you’re new to the program, you’ll receive several weeks of training to prepare.
Volunteer with FIEC Kids
Have a heart for working with kiddos? All FIEC students are invited to bring their children (ages 6 weeks-13 years) to FIEC Kids. Children are grouped in classrooms by age. Teacher and helper volunteer positions are available across all age ranges. Kids in preschool through 4th grade are provided with one hour of curriculum per evening with the remainder of the time free play. Older children play games and receive help with their homework. Younger children only engage in guided free play for the two hours. Curriculum, crafts, and snacks are supplied each week.
Short-Term Volunteer Roles
Please come along side us! There are many short-term volunteer opportunities available, like being a substitute instructor, setting up classrooms, help with special events, and more.
Wednesday evenings are full of life at Faith! We’ve got AWANA programming, Student Ministry Mid-week, prayer group, and Women’s Bible Studies. If you’re interested in being involved in any of these areas, email us for more information and the available roles.
