Grow Weekend & One Worship

We Believe.

Grow weekend is open to the whole church, ages 0-99! We will explore the core creeds and confessions that all Christians hold, where they originated, and why they’re central to our faith. Kids will be a part of special classes in the KidZone, studying the same topic, but at their level. Students grades 6-12 are invited to join all of the adult sessions for the weekend.

Here’s the schedule for the weekend:

Friday, 6:30-8:00 PM – Session 1

Truth That Saves: Why Doctrine Matters More Than You Think – Margee Boswell

Saturday, 9-Noon – Sessions 2-4

Philosophy and Empty Deceit (Colossians 2:8) – Nick Carter
The Supremacy of Christ (Colossians 1:15-19) – John King
The Humility of Christ (Philippians 2:5-11) – Chris Purnell

Saturday Evening

We encourage you to meet with your community group or with others to work through intentional discussion questions based on the two sessions.

Sunday Morning, 10:30am

One Worship – Our Sunday sermon will continue this same topic and will complete the teaching weekend.

Weekend Details:

– Cost: Free to attend, but we do need you to register to help us with the planning and preparation of the weekend

– Registration opens at the end of June. Please sign up your kiddos for their own programming or childcare with the separate kid’s registration form. If you can only attend a one of the two main weekend sessions, that’s okay – We’d love to see you for any amount of time!

– Is food offered? Meals are not included in Grow Weekend sessions except for our all-church picnic following Sunday’s One Worship Service. We encourage you to meet up with other people who are planning to attend and grab dinner before Session One or lunch after Session Two… you get the idea!

One Worship Service Details:

Join us for One Worship at 10:30AM – This is our annual all-church worship service combined with baptisms and celebration picnic!

The Service:

∙  The service will be livestreamed as usual; we’ll be gathering for worship in the Worship Center.

∙  Baptisms will be a part of the service in the Worship Center!

∙ Childcare is available for those needing it for ages 4 & under. Parents are encouraged to take their babies with them to service. Since One Service is a celebration for the whole church including our regular childcare volunteers, outside help has been brought in for those needing childcare. Families are encouraged to worship together!

The Picnic:

∙  We will head outside to enjoy our family picnic and let the kids play after the service.

∙  We are providing hot dogs, burgers, and all drinks.

∙  Please bring a side dish or dessert to share that can serve 10-12 people. Last Names that begin with A-K: Bring a dessert, L-Z: Bring a side. 

∙  All food contributions will be dropped off in the Gathering Space prior to the worship service. We will have limited refrigerator space. If your food needs to be refrigerated, please consider bringing it in a cooler.

∙  Bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair in case we need additional seating.
