Hello!
Tuesday: Today we started the day with a service project. Our group split up to help in the community with miscellaneous tasks including sanding a deck, organizing a warehouse, and moving furniture. Afterwards, we cleaned up and jumped right into helping at the community center. We went to our classes and spent the rest of the day engaging with the kids in chapel, recess, and crafts. During the afternoon, all the boys went to the pool and the volunteers had a blast cannonballing, dragging kids around the pool, and playing fake sharks. After the kids left we debriefed the day, prepared a show for the next day, and enjoyed some friendly competition in a pickleball tournament.
We would highly appreciate your thoughts and prayers for endurance throughout the rest of the week. Some things to specifically pray for:
– Patience and kindness for each other and the students
– Opportunities and boldness to share the Gospel with students
– Our group makes the Shepherd interns’ jobs easier
– Quality sleep throughout the rest of the week!
